Our History

DHCC was birthed after Pastor Pepper Martin heard from God at a prayer conference she attended at Zion Cathedral COGIC, sponsored by Bishop Frank Anthone White on March 28, 2015 in Freeport, New York. She called a meeting that evening at her home with a small group of people that mainly consisted of family and friends to discuss her experience and the vision God birthed in her spirit.
Two months later, on Sunday, May 17, 2015, Pastor Pepper Martin and the Destiny House Church family had their debut service in Amityville with approximately 200 people in attendance. Her family presented her with a robe and her father consecrated it. Her mom, Sha-Sha Asencio and husband Sydney Martin also stood by her side in complete awe of what God had done in just two months.
The church is growing steadily and has also developed a loving personality experiencing firsthand what faith can release when it is combined with prayer and praise. We believe that everyone has a gift and destiny ordained by God and the Word provides the roadmap to get us there. As a result, our motto is, “We will get you where you need to go riding on the Word of God!” It is this motto that continues to compel us to work diligently within our local community while also establishing a global presence.
Within six months, we moved to our current location in Freeport, New York.
